#CGTraining

25/11/12 09:00-13:00 today saw the team split with our newest recruit undertaking his water rescue operations course preparing him to enter the water to rescue casualties. Looked very cold in the water.
Five other members of the team carried out a patrol of the local area checking access to familiar places following the recent flooding and flood warnings. Please keep yourself safe when near the coast with the strong winds, heavy rains and please check the tides and flood warnings in place.

This was a valuable and worth while evening spending time with young people educating them about the dangers on the coast and to reduce the chances of them getting themselves in difficulty and help us in an emergency.

#CGDuties #RemembranceSunday

11/11/12 10:00-12:00
Eight Falmouth Team members attended the remembrance parade in Falmouth this year. The team marched alongside our colleagues in other emergency and armed services as well as youth groups to the war memorial in Kimberly Park for the service.
A good turn out from all this year.
A privilege to take part in such an important event.

“They went with songs to the battle, they were young.
Straight of limb, true of eyes, steady and aglow.
They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted,
They fell with their faces to the foe.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.”
